At Oakline Boutique, we are committed to providing a fair, transparent, and reliable return and refund process. This policy explains the conditions, timelines, costs, and procedures applicable to returns, refunds, and defective items for customers in Ireland and the European Union.
By placing an order on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Return & Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of our Terms of Service.
1. Return Eligibility & Timeframe (EU Right of Withdrawal)
Returns can only be initiated after the product has been physically received.
Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery, without giving any reason.
To be eligible:
the return request must be submitted within 14 days of delivery, and
the item must be shipped back within 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal.
The total return window is therefore a maximum of 28 days from delivery, provided notice is given within the first 14 days.
Returns requested outside this legal withdrawal period are not eligible for refunds unless required under statutory consumer rights.
2. Condition of Returned Items
Returned items must meet all of the following conditions:
unworn (trying on for fit is allowed),
unwashed, undamaged, and clean,
returned in original condition with all tags attached.
You are responsible only for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the item.
Wearing an item beyond fitting is not permitted.
Ordering multiple sizes with the intention of returning part of the order is discouraged and may be monitored for abuse.
Items that do not meet these conditions may be subject to a reduced refund reflecting loss of value.
3. Product Evaluation & Non-Defective Items
If a customer reports:
dissatisfaction with fit, appearance, or feel of the product, or
perceived quality concerns that do not constitute a manufacturing defect,
these cases are treated as withdrawal without cause under EU law, not defective-goods claims.
In such situations:
the statutory right of withdrawal applies, and
return shipping costs, customs fees, taxes, and all related expenses remain the customer’s responsibility.
Subjective preferences or expectations do not qualify as defects.
4. International Fulfillment & Return Location
Orders are shipped from international fulfillment warehouses.
Approved returns must be shipped back to the designated international fulfillment facility from which the order was dispatched.
International returns may involve higher shipping costs.
Unless the item is defective or non-conforming, all return shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and related charges are fully borne by the customer and are non-refundable.
Return addresses and instructions are provided only after the return request has been submitted and approved.
5. Return Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer when exercising the right of withdrawal.
No fixed restocking fee applies under EU consumer law.
However, any diminished value resulting from use beyond necessary inspection may be deducted from the refund in accordance with EU regulations.
6. Defective or Non-Conforming Items (EU Legal Guarantee)
Under EU and Irish consumer law, customers are entitled to goods that are:
as described,
of satisfactory quality,
fit for purpose.
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, you must contact us within a reasonable time and provide clear photo evidence.
In case of confirmed non-conformity, you are entitled to:
repair, or
replacement,
free of charge.
If repair or replacement is not possible or disproportionate, you may be entitled to:
a price reduction, or
a full refund.
For confirmed defective items, return shipping costs will be covered by Oakline Boutique.
7. Final Sale Items
Items clearly marked as Final Sale may be excluded from voluntary return policies.
However, this does not affect your statutory rights under EU law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal (unless a legal exception applies) and rights relating to defective goods.
8. Return Process
To initiate a return:
Email your return request to support@oaklineboutique.com within 14 days of delivery.
Wait for confirmation and detailed instructions.
Ship the item back at your own expense using a trackable shipping method.
Returns sent without valid tracking proof confirming delivery to our fulfillment facility cannot be processed.
9. Refunds
Once the returned item has been received and approved after inspection:
refunds are processed within 14 days of withdrawal notification,
via the original payment method,
minus any permitted deductions for diminished value (if applicable).
We may withhold reimbursement until the returned goods have been received or proof of return shipment has been provided.
10. Liability & Address Accuracy
Oakline Boutique is not responsible for:
lost return shipments without valid tracking,
delays caused by customs or carriers,
packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
Address errors must be reported within 24 hours of placing the order.
